Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is an Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger in June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 with great praise from musicians and music blogs as well as the press. She has recorded several high-profile cover songs, like Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs have been widely praised. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway on her blog earned the artist additional praise. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music. Not for an income or to pursue an interest, but as a way to improve. To achieve this she wrote her first original compositions. Her inspirations include famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her attraction to Bjork's style. When she was told by her mother that her songs would be a catalyst for her to gain not only fame but also help others see their importance within the global community and see how they can benefit from their music, she made the decision to start performing in public. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and began writing music when she was nine. It wasn't until she was 14 when she first told her parents. She never had a desire to be Aurora. According to her, she just is a fan of writing songs. To her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
